It was a battle between two very popular actresses, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in which the former has emerged a winner. Madhuri has joined several Bollywood stars to judge the reality show, Dance Premier League. Our source associated with the show said, “Madhuri and Aishwarya were both being considered to be the judge for one of the teams. Aishwarya lost out to Madhuri as she quoted an exorbitant amount of money. The makers of the show couldn’t afford her and the scales tipped in Madhuri’s favour as she had demanded an affordable price.”
Madhuri’s manager Riku Rakesh Nath said he could not reveal any details at this stage and said, “The discussion is still on.”
However, Danish Khan, VP Marketing of the channel admitted, “Yes, Madhuri has been chosen to represent one of the teams.” He refused to comment on the reason why Aishwarya lost out to Madhuri and said, “I don’t want to talk abut the money involved but Madhuri is definitely on board for Dance Premier League.”
Our source said, “Madhuri was far more affordable is the reason why Aishwarya lost out on the show. Aishwarya's price per episode is above 2 crore, while Madhuri can come in as low as 45 lakhs per episode. Also Aish didn't wanted to compete with Pa-Bachchan, whose show Big Boss will be aired on same time-slot.”

by estimating their worth as a LOT (ie. most beautiful in the world, etc.), they make people and fans believe that--that's part of the media game: charge a lot and one is seen as #1.

hey.. not an Aish fan-- but didn't she initally state date issue? Doubt Aish would do TV. It seems Aish rejected the show as she has too many better things in her pocket.
BIG Madhuri fan-- but sadly-- since she lives away and does not have a big star family-- she's not getting big films. That's really sad because its' Madhuri who has the beauty and talent for films today.
