Weird how they only use the "comeback" thing when it comes to women. Every time Fardeen or Zayed Khan, Dino Morea, Jacky Bhagnani, Aftab Shivdasani or even Shiney Ahuja make a new z-rate movie it's just another movie but when an actress you haven't seen on screen in a few sneezes (i.e. Ayeesha Takia, Amrita Rao, Esha Deol, Prachi Desai, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta, Sushmita Sen and now apparently Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) it's called a comeback. It's a different story with Madhuri and Sridevi who announced semi-retirement to raise a family but if you're gonna use the term for one, it must apply to all both male and female. IMHO. I haven't seen Akshay Khanna in a while but I'm pretty sure when he pops up with his next film it won't be called a "comeback" o_O.

SO true, well said! Also, although I am not an Aish-fan, I do not like the double standards applied to women. There are also male stars that get old, gain weight etc, and yet none of them get as harshly criticized for it (if at all) as women do.

I've always liked Aishwariya, mind you I'm also a fan of Salman Khan. But honestly, with time my likeness towards her has decreased substantially, all DUE TO HER FANS. The hatred and venom they spit out at Salman Khan related post is sickening. The fact of the matter is the fans have no proof of Salman Khan supposedly beating Ash up. And honestly, till date we even havent seen Ash address this issue, then why are her fans playing her advocate on the Internet.

How did she get this fat after giving birth because I've seen even normal women that don't work out getting back to their normal weight pretty fast after child birth. May be she has a hormonal problem but who knows?

U dont believe in come back because u know noone gives a crap about u! And guys this is not a hate comment it is merely the truth.
I think she is absolutely gorgeous but truth is truth and that is that she is manipulative and always has a way of making her say look right even if it is venomous and vicious!
Everyone knows if people saw her on screen they would make fun of her weight and she knows that too but stilk she has to pick on people who have taken more care in their appearance like madhuri and sri devi and done roles to mark their come backs with dignity!

She's been on a maternity break for 02 yrs, why should the industry term it as a comeback? Shridevi came back to Films after 15 years, Madhuri after 08 years and Karisma after 07 -08 yrs too. In their absence from the screen in these years , these actresses were nowhere in the news and public life, unlike Aishwarya, who's every move is filmed, Photographed and doccumented.
You have conviniently made this some personal hatred towards Aishwarya and twisted her words, in no way did she mean anything about Madhuri, Sri-Devi and Karisma.
** and for the record, Aishwarya is no longer fat, she has already lost so much weight post pregnancy, granted she is not completely fit to return to screen, but from the lates reports she has already started her Yoga classes to get back into shape. so you're lame accusation that she is no longer wished to be seen on the big screen is completely STUPID. Aishwarya's fan base is massive in India and abroad and every single one of them want to see her back on screen. So you my friend should just shut your mouth!
she looks nice, however she would look better and younger if she just let her natural good looks shine through.
She always cakes on way too much makeup, always a rule of thumb is if you're doing up the eyes, leave the lips bare and vice versa, in many appearances she over does her eyes with heavy shadow and some outdated color on her lips like bronze or burgundy with lots of gloss.

Oh good god. Have you even been listening?! Every single one of those actresses has taken issue with their films being called a comeback. Sridevi being away from the industry for 15 years is a comeback. Someone taking a year and a half off the have a BABY is not a comeback. Where did Aish and Preity and Rani go that they would have to comeback from?! Not doing a fillm for a year is fine for a man, THEN he's just taking time off to pick good projects and have some time for himself/his family, but when a woman does it they act like there's something special about it and that if this one film doesn't pan out, they're ruined.
She's not slighting them, she's showing solidarity with them. They've all taken issue with that term too. Pay attention if you insist on running your mouth.

I don't think that she has an accent here..She does have an accent when she is nervous..Like in Cannes 2012( her interview with NDTV)...
She has a very good vocabulary ,also I have noticed that her favorite word is 'Absolute pleasure'...lol :P :D On the other hand I think Madhuri dixit has an annoying accent, after living in US her Denver accent was unbearable during Koffee with Karan (both the seasons).Though I like madhuri's acting.

if you think she had a "very good vocabulary", then I think you must be illiterate, because only an illiterate person can think that. go to sulekha.com forums of the past where i usedd to visit and any average indian discussing social, current, intellectual issues there, has a much better vocab than her. she has the same rehearsed answers. i am no maduri fan and find her face annoying with all the work and botox on it, but to be fair to her regarding your accent comment: she did after all LIVE for about 13 years in the US, and spent every day with her hubby who has an american accent, and so does her kids, so it is justifiable in her case that she would have picked up some sort of accent. unlike the other fakers.
I think you should see an ENT specialist. Her accent sounds the same to the rest of us.

Why is it that people who keep talking about aishwarya's accent can't accept the fact that she speaks very good English and they themselves cannot speak with an accent even at gun point.
