The point isn't that she is wearing a bikni or scanty clothes, the point is being able to carry it off without looking vulgar and cheap. Ash also did hot raunchy dance moves in Ishq Kamina and Kajrare, but she carried that off with grace as well .This song , its lyrics, dance rythm, jhatka-matkas are fun to watch, no doubt about that. But also Rani does look cheap and OTT and there is absolutely no doubt about that as well.

And every person has the right to express their opinion. Just because Rani is your favorite doesn't mean people loose their right to utter a single world against her

Overacting is all i can say abt rani in ths song!!!! It can be true she being jealous of vidya!!!!! :D

Rani doesn't need to do this....films are getting vulgar and cheap. Being an actress must be tough. Wear such skimpy clothes and dance around . Dream or no dream, you are still doing all these in front of the whole world.

Rani I never imaged you are so desperate. Trying too hard to copy Vidya here and it's pathetic. And South heroines don't all dance like this, to the idiot who asked. Watch a mainstream South Indian film at least once. Anyway Bollywood films are copied from our films.

This is an offensive song, and not because it is vulgar or anything.. it doesn't even come close to sexy because Rani looks ridiculous.. but it is offensive to me because it makes fun of South Indians. From decades bollywood only knows "idli dosa" or "aiyoo." Not even all South Indians speak Tamil. Some of us speak Telugu also, and Prithviraj is a Malayalee.

I have a question for you all who are laughing at this song.. when white people stereotype North Indians as snake charmers or rat-worshippers, do you people feel good about it?

i loove her facial expressions<3 ...why are u ppl are that narrow-minded and uncool. its a dream sequence in the movie, so the scene make surely sense after watching the movie!!

rani is in a position (as an established bollywood star) to do such a song without looking vulgar or cheap, its fun to watch this video and its something new, not like the regular (and very boring) item numbers like halkat jawani or sheila ki jawani.

and the guy looks also good. and i think, rani is the only actress, who looks a bit chubby and sooo pretty <3

To those who find it cheap and vulgar, I say don't go watch it! You go Rani. Do what you want. I for one will be rushing for the cinema opening night. People just can't bear the fact that Aiyyaa is creating such a buzz!

Today's leading ladies are doing only this and Rani probably didn't want to be left behind. She can easily do it!! I guess that was her only intention in accepting a movie with a role like this.
Some actors like Kajol,Aishwarya,Preity,deepika,etc., I bet will never accept a role/dance like this. Katrina can't make expressions like Rani for heavens' sake.

Ok, Ok, Rani deserves a better movie. Understand ! BUT..she was hilarious! it takes guts to do a dance like this (Katrina, Vidya,Malaika are already doing) and talent to makes such funny expressions. Go Rani!!! it's entertainment and nothing else..

*The thing with Vidya was that she could depict sleaze without losing the humanity of Silk caught up in it. It was relevant in TDP.
