Here are the reviews for the movie Akaash Vani:

Ratings:3.5/5 Review By: Taran Adarsh Site: BollywoodHungama

Like PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA, AKAASHVANI also has a bond with realism. It's about the present times. It communicates the contemporary lingo. Yet, it has the old world charisma that still makes you go weak in your knees. It has shades of everything, from fidelity and commitment to resentment and mistrust to anguish and betrayal. Handled most efficiently, with several authoritative moments, AKAASHVANI is, without doubt, a delicate love story that triumphs. With PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA, Luv Ranjan demonstrated he's a commendable storyteller. With AKAASHVANI, he only seals it furthermore! On the whole, AKAASHVANI appeals for the characters that Luv Ranjan has created as well as the buoyancy and gusto with which the principal actors bring alive the characters on screen. The movie contains just the right blend of sparkle and spice and is definitely worthy of a watch. Go for it!

From that talented a director, ‘Akaash Vani’ is almost a disappointment in parts. The story is fresh – no doubts about that, but it plays with clichés. So while there are moments which define it and turn it into a brilliantly made film, there are others which take away some parts of the same brilliance.
The redeeming factor of ‘Akaash Vani’ is the superb, solid performance by its lead cast – Nushrat Bharucha and Kartik Tiwari – take a bow.
The film stands out in its make-believe moments. It makes you want to fall in love yet again, without really making a great impact on the mind – blame the tried and tested climax for that. But watch it for Nushrat and Kartik. The duo deserves an extra star for their performance.

Rating: 1.5/5 Review by: Abhishek Gupta Site: India TV

There is not a single scene which you might not be aware of and seen in daily soaps. Come on Luv Runjan, we didn’t expect such a bizarre thing after a surprise hit ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama’. The more was the expectation, the lesser we got.
Another drawback is the long duration shots which could have been trimmed easily to help it immensely.
Kartik Tiwari did a decent work in Pyar Ka Punchnama but he disappoints you this time. Sometimes you even assume he is trying to reinvent SRK’s romantic acts.Nusrat Barucha can be given a mark as her innocence is revealed in the flick. As a tortured wife she performs well enough that one would sympathise with her.
I’ll go with 1.5 stars for a disappointing Akash Vani. Don’t test you patience.

Rating: 4/5 Review by: Subhash K Jha Site: FirstPost

Suffused in contemplative silences and deriving its dramatic energy from the age-old debate on arranged versus love marriages, “Akaash Vani” is thoughtful and absorbing, not prone to tripping over with nervous anxiety and excessive energy to hold our attention.
The world of “Akaash Vani” is far removed from the bantering bawdy backchat of “Pyaar Ka Punchnama“. But that is the beauty of the second film. It tells you that the director is not frozen in his initial world.
With first-rate performances by both Nushrat and Kartik, this is one love story you can’t afford to miss.

Director Luv Ranjan of 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' is back with realism which has shades of everything – friendship, emotional bonding, seperation, loyalty, distrust and suffering.
The story of 'Akaash Vani' is something that we see around in the society. The film, which has brought back the old school love, is close to reality.
'Akaash Vani' will make you fall in love again.

Rating: 2.5/5 Review by: Mohar Basu Site: Koimoi

While expectations are sky rocketing high from Luv Ranjan, his story was clearly disappointing. The film which was directed towards the younger faction of the audience will surely not be able to please them, at least the urban audience.
Luv Ranjan did cast smartly for his film. Despite a terribly edited film, with a script full of loopholes, I salute Nushrat and Kartik. Their on screen chemistry makes the characters believable.
Luv Ranjan’s work is however disappointing. From the man who made Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Akaash Vani doesn’t match up to the stature he had created for himself.
The film makes for a decent one time watch. Watch it just for the beautiful and enchanting chemistry of Nushrat and Kartik! A double thumbs up to the duo.

Rating: 3/5 Review by: Smitha Site: OneIndia

While Akaash Vani is not completely disappointing, we definitely expected more out of Luv Ranjan who has proved his maturity and knack in storytelling before. The plot of Akaash Vani is fresh, but comes with a lot of cliches. You cannot take the credit from the director for churning out a story that has some amazing moments that will bring tears in your eyes and tug at your heart strings.
Watch Akaash Vani for the sheer excellence of Kartik and Nushrat's performances.

Rating: 3/5 Review by: Martin D'Souza Site: Yahoo! News

This is a relevant film for parents and youngsters. It deals with a very complex situation, does not give you any answers and towards the end, sends you home allowing you to form your own views.
Luv Ranjan is lucky in this aspect. If not for these two super-confident actors, I am sure the film would have nose-dived. They keep the interest alive.
If you are willing to pardon the initial hiccups, AV is enjoyable. Do tune in to Akaash Vani.
