i love freida pinto..and sorry she is faking the accent....i have seen all her prev. interviews and she sounds differ....sorry, i am her fan and i hate her fake accent, if i pretend i love it , the that would be wrong as i have been bashing aishwarya for that for years!!!

She has a fantastically balanced face and features.. really really pretty.

but alas.. there are folks who are so blocked, they'll never get it and keep sneering. so sad.

she is an English major in her college with a degree and her parent is a school principal. hence she may be able to pick up languages and tones easily. her family also owns partial businesses in the restaurant field like Palace of Asia and the like... so she is said to be well travelled. people think she's a low-class person (and there's nothing wrong with that)-- but in fact, she can probably speak English better than most of Bollywood today because she is one of the rare 'stars' who does have a full college degree (in English).

Uhm, that's not a "British" accent at all. If you see any videos of Freida BEFORE she was in Slumdog (and there are a few on youtube) that's how she's always talked.

freida is natural and her accent is not fake. not everyone speaks with a pendu accent in india. some are actually educated in british school system hence the accent. go to any colonized country in africa and youll have same of native and british voice.

In the video, she looks STUNNING!!! really lovely.
Despite the funny accent though, she talks very good. she's so right about confidence being the key, she really practices what she preaches. she never let a nation that looks down on dusky looks ever let it stop her, and look at her. She really shines among the very elite Hollywood crowd. She has an air of intelligence about her.
