Early Filmfare Predictions!
The Filmfare nominations won’t be announced until January 2013, but people are already buzzing about who will make the cut. Of course many of the films that will vie for the prize have not yet been released so trying to figure out which films and performances will be recognized by the audience and jury at this point is probably the height of lunacy. Still, I can’t resist speculating on the acting nominees and which 6 films will be up for Best Film. Check out my predictions below and let me know if you think I’m completely nuts. Best Actor: Best Actress: Best Film: What do you think? Will the highly anticipated “Dabangg 2” make it in the Best Film Category ? Will voters remember Akshay Kumar’s “Rowdy Rathore?” Which of the upcoming low budget films will get noticed by the Jury? Will any of the “newcomers'' (Arjun, Ayushmaan) be considered for the acting nominations? And how many more actors from the upcoming movies will knock these guys out of the water?

This is all hogwash. There is a very big possibility that Gangs of Waseypur movies will take all the top billings....Hasn't anyone seen those movies, especially Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

My totally unbiased RANKS of who I think should be nominated, based on MERIT, not who is more popular. Think of this as a CRITICS award, and I base my predictions on what is real cinema and real acting. For yet to be seen films, I'm basing on the film's director, writer, actors and their previous history. And I work for Filmfare, so I know a little bit of what I'm doing, and these are also based on some of the industry "buzz" that's going on.
