Shah Rukh Khan Translates Jab Tak Hai Jaan Poem
SRK posted his version of the English translation of the poem penned by Aditya Chopra for Jab Tak Hai Jaan along with one of his pictures from the movie on Twitter with the message: @iamsrk: "My first attempt at translation....second to follow....if you guys can...try a version please." I must say, he is great at rhyme and poetry!

Yene yagish yagir sensiz geceme,
Damlalar qelbimi döyür,açan yox
Içimden yox olub getmisen,deme
Menimle görüshüb vidalashan yox..
Yene yagish yagir senden xebersiz,
Piçildar adini gizlice dilim
Ruhumda islanir belece sensiz..
Daha o sevgiden üzülür elim..
Belke bu yagishin izi ile men
Yol boyu qaçsam da sene çatmaram
Kim bilir hansisa yagishdasan sen
Yagishlar içinde seni tapmaram....
It's Me Shako :) ur love <3 from AZERBAIJAN

How many Bollywood actors have gifted a poem as a token of their love in their own words FREE to fans.
Aditya didnt pen those hindi verses for free they are for a COMMERCIAL MOVIE.
SRK DID......HATS OFF TO HIM. It feels like a gift from Srk. Am gonna appreciate it...cherish it...hold every word of his close to my heart..still hasn't sunk in he penned his own translations and gifted it to his fans with an osum loner sexiii pic of his as bonus. Love him..
Can't believe the haters here. Effn nitpicking on anything..everything even rhyming.
You bloody wannabe eng lit phire huwe dimaag losers deserve the retarded rap songs like what she order what she order fish filley? show me why you deserve to have it all. My balls so hard...Got your grandma on my. Am gonna do suicide in my private jet and so on...they rhyme don't they?
It's not the rhyme that matters but the content that does. Words mean nothing if they are just FANCY and HOLLOW and merely written/spoken to impress with writing skills and style. Heartfelt words are not a contest to win a prize. Words filled with heartfelt emotions however simple and out of line and rhyme matter b/c they are pure remain invaluable.
Pinkvilla post this am sick and tired of posting it like a million times.
Still no hopes for this movie
I love this man so much
continue deceiving urself...just be amazed at what google translation can do..... not what srk fans in india pretending to live abroad can do
-----------------------------
do not you have an account on twitter dear, just enter shahrukh account and you will feel if all the world had united together ,all languages were used by fans from all over the world to translate this poem, this is not pretending, this is truth, even me did not know that shahrukh had fans from every spot in the world, happy to know.

This is Aditya Chopra Poem..this has nothing to do with anybody else. SRK only translated it he did not write it.
----------------------------------
just ignore this nonsense, when you gave this one a reply,he feels himself, the poem is cute and shahrukh translation is very touchy
Well said!
After he translated it in English, he asked his
Twitter followers to translate it in their own
languages and he will retweet their
translations. True to his word, he retweeted
all the translations he got. And what a
response he got! Translations in more than
20 languages from all over the world! I
know he is a global superstar and has fan
following all over the world, but never
knew he had fans in places like China,
Romania, South America, Ukraine, Russia,
Japan, South Korea, Africa, France, Belarus,
the Middle East, Germany, Sweden,
Switzerland, Indonesia, Malaysia, Iran etc!!!
And these fans are not South Asians living
there, they are the natives of these places, I
mean wow!!! He is not just Bollywood's but
also India's global ambassador! When Los
Angeles Times declared him the "biggest
superstar the world has seen", they were
not just making big claims, they were
RIGHT!!!

Read somewhere on the net:
"Shah Rukh Khan's charisma and star appeal is universal in nature and transcends the boundaries of language, race and ethnicity."
**I wonder who was Aditya Chopra think of when he wrote this Poem...was it Rani? He had to have someone in mind when he wrote these words. I am curious to know who it was**
---------------------------------------
Perhaps even SRK himself has wrote it, and then we know whom he means, right?
----------------------------------------
**...........well priyanka comes o mind..i wonder if he translated that poem for her**
-----------------------------------------
Just as it is, when he translated Priyanka was also "on", that says it all!
He`s suffering terribly because he can not leave his family. That would be the downfall of both.
The other day Aditya Chopra was taunting Rani about Vidya Balan's susscess in Bollywood. It's time now that we get to see Aditya Chopra.
Aditya Chopra is like a Ghost. So Many years we heard of him but never really sees him. I heard he is a bit insecure.

I will not forgive...the memory rife,
Until I breathe this life,
Until I breathe this life."
That is it! I will love Shah Rukh Khan Jab Tak
Hai Jaan! this man is so damn romantic and
hot! What stupid woman wouldn't want him
and wouldn't love him??? This movie is
gonna be EPIC!!!
...................well priyanka comes o mind..i wonder if he translated that poem for her

We can't judge it as an independent piece of writing/poetry because SRK is only doing this for kicks and hes also asked his followers to submit their versions of the translation. Its a fun interactive exercise which could generate some positive buzz, maybe they can have a competition and the winning translation will be featured on the DVD jacket or something like that?

Awww nice effort SRK! He surely has a very romantic soul! I'm sure all his non-Hindi speaking fans will appreciate it.
Hes not claiming to be a poet ya'll, nor does he have some fancy language arts/creative writing degree; hes just making an effort at translation and thats his first attempt and I think its commendable.
