Girl Power in Bollywood
Rani Mukherjee's new film, Dil Bole Hadipaa, starring Shahid Kapoor, has highlighted a rare trend in Bollywood. In the films promo and wallpaper, Rani Mukherjje is being given more significance. The promo is full of Rani and the Wallpaper says "Rani and Shahid" as opposed to the male dominated Bollywood that would usually read "Shahid and Rani". Who Do you think is an actress that is more powerful and a bigger box office pull than her male costars?

Sridevi was a powerful star in her days. However, Madhuri is the most powerful ever. Just one of the many example is the following; kjo is a big sridevi fan, he even admitted he was in love with sridevi and she is his favourite actress. But when kjo had to introduce madhuri in his show, he had to say about her ” the most beautiful woman EVER, the most fantastic actress EVER.” Being intelligent, articulate, smart and professional he knew that in his show he has to do the right thing, he cannot get carried away by his personal liking. He also knew that he could not say anything less about madhuri… just saying the most fantastic actress is not enough for madhuri like it is enough for other great actresses, for madhuri, it has to be the most fantastic actress EVER. He did not stop there, he made that as the promo of the show. In 2007 karan johar said to TOI that there is no queen bee since madhuri, the crown lies without the queen. In 2010, regarding fashion he said to HT, “In the ’90s, any sari worn by Madhuri Dixit would instantly spawn a million copies.” He even said, “nobody and I repeat nobody, in Indian cinema can dance and express in a song the way Madhuri Dixit does.”
Everyone knows that Madhuri is the most powerful, so I would not waste space by saying more, let haters cry and bark.

Sridevi was the most powerful ever. She was the only heroine who was called a hero by the media. Madhuri also had great power but never the same like Sridevi. Sri ruled both Bombay and South film industry. No actress has ever done that. She had the whole industry on her fingertips. Even Filmfare editor Khalid Mohammed has gone on record and said 'Sridevi is the best Number One we ever had.'

Infact, she refused films like beta, darr, lekin, dil to pagal hai, bazigar because these didn't suit her condition....that's power. Amitabh bacchan was so impressed with sri's dance in roop ki rani that he sent her flowers as a token of appreciation....Hema malini was very upset with chaalbaaz because it was very similar to her seeta geeta...but after she watched sridevi's performance, hemaji couldn't help congratulating her.She was also offered a role in stephen spielberg's the lost world but due to dates problem it didn't work. Sridevi was the powerful actress of her time. Even madhuri Dixit too. now I cannot really tell because all the actresses are powerful at their place like Priyanka,Kareena,Aishwarya,Katrina and Vidya Balan.
Madhuri Dixit is the most powerful ever. One just need to check the records, dil beta (beti), Raja, (Rani), Hahk was hit only for Madhuri. It is a fact. In 90-95, she was the biggest star, not even any male star was like her, there was no consistent number 1 hero during those time (it was the time of amitabh's departure and srk arrival as number 1). During this time Madhuri was not only the biggest heroine but the biggest hero as well. Madhuri was the number 1 for more than a decade. Though dil, hak etc. film was hit it did nothing for amir and salman respectively as stars, one just need to see the records.
