'Race 2' collects Rs.51.35 crore over first weekend

Abbas-Mustan's "Race 2" might have opened to mixed reviews, but the film seems to be minting money at the box office. The action thriller has managed to earn Rs.51.35 crore in its opening weekend.

Made at Rs.60 crore, the film released across 3,200 screens. It went on to earn Rs.15.12 crore Friday, Rs.20.72 crore Saturday and Rs.15.51 crore Sunday.

The movie is a sequel to 2008 film "Race".

While Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor reprise their roles, the the new additions to the franchise are John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel.

All because of the hot cast race-2 has..There is absolutely no substance is the script.Anybody saw that scene when a car landed with parachute from Air Plane?Abbas-Mastan you gotta be kiiding!!But I must stay its a paisa usul movie unlike player.Player got a week cast only neil was able to act well..in race-2 whatever stupid billion million doller bullshit John saif dips and jacy were singing..They did it with confidence.
