Don't want to get typecast as half foreign, half Indian: Kristina

Australian model-actress Kristina Akheeva, to be seen as a British girl in the forthcoming comedy "Yamla Pagla Deewana 2" (YPD2), hopes she is not trapped in the image of a "foreign girl".

"I hope I don't get typecast as half foreign, half Indian. I want to play traditional type of roles and get myself into a character where I can practice my Indian mannerisms and think like an Indian girl from some village," Kristina told IANS.

Being fond of dancing, singing and acting from her childhood, Bollywood was the best option for her.

Pakistani actress Veena Malik, whose "Zindagi 50-50" released this Friday, says she is a born actor. She feels she is responsible for the film she signs from day one of her association with it till its release.

"I am not a seasonal actor that I will do acting for some time and then move on to some other profession. I am born to act. I am a responsible actor. It is my responsibility to stand with my film from beginning to end," Veena said here during the screening of her film.

Veena has gone out of her way to promote her film "Zindagi 50-50", directed by Rajiv S. Ruia.

'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' to release in Russia in July

His grandfather Raj Kapoor is adored in Russia, and now Ranbir Kapoor's forthcoming film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" is being lined up for release there in July.

The movie is likely to hit screens in Russia July 4.

Eros International will release the movie, as well as six other films in the country post the success of "Cocktail" there. The lot includes "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara", "Rockstar", "Desi Boyz", "Student of the Year", "Vicky Donor" and "Bhoot Returns 3D", apart from "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani".

'Fast and Furious 6' opens big in Tamil

The Tamil-dubbed version of the sixth instalment of "Fast and Furious" series released Friday on as many as 80 screens in Tamil Nadu. This is more than the number of screens showing the English version.

"The Tamil version, also titled 'Fast and Furious 6', is releasing in about 80 screens all over Tamil Nadu, while its English version will release in about 20 screens," said a statement.

Directed by Justin Lin, the film features an ensemble cast of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster and Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), will appear on "Extraaa Innings T20" during the cricket extravaganza's final face-off to promote his forthcoming film "Chennai Express".

The actor has come up with a promotional trailer for his appearance on the show as well and has urged his fans to "express yourself". The title track of the Rohit Shetty directorial plays in the background of the promo.
