Scottish actor Gerard Butler wants to work with Oscar-winning filmmaker Danny Boyle. The actor is a huge fan of the "Slumdog Millionaire", reports contactmusic.com. "I'd love to work with Danny Boyle. He's such a diverse director because he takes such risks. I'd love to be involved in one of his risks," said Butler.
Five Telugu artistes arrested for protests against TV serial dubbing
Five Telugu television artistes here were arrested Saturday, following an attack on the office of a Telugu TV channel and studios. The attack was launched to protest the airing of serials dubbed from other languages. The protesting artistes were arrested at Saradhi Studio, where they had gathered to prevent the shooting of a dubbing serial by Maa TV, a popular entertainment channel, whose office was attacked by the artistes on Friday.
Hollywood film 'Million Dollar Arm' to be shot in India
Hollywood film "Million Dollar Arm", about two Indians who get to play baseball in the US thanks to agent J.B. Bernstein's unconventional recruitment strategy to lure talented cricket players, will be shot in three Indian cities. The film stars "Mad Men" actor Jon Hamm and is in pre-production stage. "We'll be shooting in Mumbai, Agra and Delhi. Very exciting," Palak Patel, the movie's executive producer, told IANS in an email interview from Los Angeles.
'G.I. Joe Retaliation' to hit Indian screens first
Hollywood director Jon M. Chu's most-awaited film "G.I. Joe Retaliation" is set to release here March 27, which also happens to be Holi, ahead of its international release. It's a sequel to "G.I. JOE: Rise of The Cobra", which grossed over $300 million worldwide. The star cast of the sequel includes Bruce Willis, Channing Tatum and Dwayne Johnson along with D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce and Ray Stevenson.
Visiting India still on Butler's wish list
Hollywood actor Gerard Butler says he wants to visit India soon to experience peace and calm. The 43-year-old, who plays a former secret service agent in the film "Olympus Has Fallen", says he considers India as a place away from negative emotions. The actor was keen to visit the country around his birthday in November 2012, but his plans were cancelled last minute.
