Ameesha Patel, who plays Anil Kapoor's assistant in "Race 2", says it was tough for her to essay a dumb girl.
"Cherry is a dumb blonde character. It was tough for me because to do a comedy role and that too a dumb character is always tough. If you do over-the-top acting, you can irritate the audiences," the 37-year-old said here Thursday at the special screening of the film.
"So it is important to identify that fine line, where not to overact and to stay subdued. But there were Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan whose comic timing is great and they helped me," she added.
Directed by Abbas-Mustan, "Race 2" also stars Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and John Abraham. It hit the theatres Friday.

even if I don't like her, she's academically gifted. She graduated at the top of the class from one of the ivy league universities (Tufts) in USA. whatever choices she may have made in life, she's not dumb, that's for sure.

sometimes very intelligent people are so overconfident and arrogant about their intelligence that they make pretty dumb choices believing that they are intelligent. A balanced mind is hard to achieve even for the brightest at times.

She is not dumb, she has a gold medal in economics and was offered job at morgan stanley which she left for a showbiz career

for all you guys calling her dumb, she won a gold medal in economics from one of the best universities in the US. So yes, she is SO MUCH smarter than all the A lister actresses who haven't even been to college.
just so you guys know she is probably the most academic actress in the industry compared to all the A lister actress who haven't even gone to College . she won gold medal in economics from a very prestigious university in the US.
