For some strange reason when

For some strange reason when I put on any type of MAC foundation/powder, after an hour or so of wear it starts becoming dark on my skin, and looks like its almost melting off? not sure but I know some other people who said they felt the same thing...not sure why it does that :-( At first it looks amazing then after an hour I start becoming shades darker...can anyone recommend a good foundation for parties/occasions with good coverage and a matte finish since I have oily skin...

You have to try Dior

You have to try Dior Skincare. They have almost 300 Doctors and dermatologists devoping their skincare. The results are amazing and will give you the radiance back and eliminate dullness. Also Dior Snow Serum is espeially designed to remove the dark spots. It actually decreases Melanin which is the chemical in your skin responsible for darkness. You will thank me!

you could go either way

you could go either way first i put on cream i wait 10 min then i put concealer on the spots i need to to cover up some blemishes {{dont concealer overdose}} but it on lightly wait 5 min or so then i put on a layer of foundation but dont rub it in put it on with a sponge and dab it on the whole face then i put on a little more concealer if i still see blemishes i put on a layer of lose powder and a little blush do my eyes then im good to go:) the whole process takes about 20 min but it looks really nice afterward. and if you have acne i recomend using the clean and clear acne kit it works well and tan twice a week 4 min each. {{the uv lights help clean your pours and kill any bacteria}} hope i helped:)

You can do either really

You can do either really

I don't wear concealer, but

I don't wear concealer, but I have worked with clinique and we usually did before foundation.

To Anon below - I use Laura Mercier foundation - most suited for the golden Indian skin tones, in my opinion. I have suntan beige, it really matches my skin color perfectly...I have the skin tone of probably Asin or Ayesha Takia.

To Madame Remy: I really

To Madame Remy: I really like the Laura Mercier line...Do you use her foundation too? If so, what color is good for indian skintones?

I wanted to know what kind

I wanted to know what kind of Skin Care these bollywood actresses use...ppl like aishwariya and kareena..

do you use make-up remover

do you use make-up remover to remove your make-up? Make sure you dont sleep with your make-up on no matter how tired you are cuz it'll mess with your skin and most likely cause more zits, pimples, blackheads than normally.
Mac is a bit mre expensive but its of good quality so try changing it if you can, maybe the brand doesnt suit you. But if you dont remove the make-up, i'm 95 percent sure that that's probably whats causing you pimples

oh btw the brand is cover

oh btw the brand is cover girl

i've noticed that whenever i

i've noticed that whenever i apply concealer whether b4 or after it doesn't suit me coz the first thing next morning i notice is pimples...(i need help in this)

MAC: Foundation first, then

MAC: Foundation first, then Concealor, And then Powder.
Do the reverse as well and see what fits best for you. Go with that. Doesnt really matter I guess.

After.. I only found this

After.. I only found this out recently when I bought a MAC concealer for the first time..the MAC girl told me to apply it on top of your foundation so the concealer has something to hold on to..and remember to tap and blend into the skin..I find it easier to use my fingers

im a make-up artist myself,

im a make-up artist myself, concealer always comes after foundation hun. its better to use a liquid foundation.for me a mac 187 brush goes best with foundation.

When I use liquid Foundation

When I use liquid Foundation I use concealer after. That way I dont go overboard with the concealer and only need to apply wherever I need more coverage. But if I am applying Powder foundation I use concealer first.

i would say before because

i would say before because concealer is usually slightly lighter than your skin color and it evens out discoloration on your skin. WHen you apply foundation over it, it will even out the rest of your skin to one color. If you have a stubborn pimple however, dont hesitate to apply some concelaer over your foundation to cover it up

The only way to apply

The only way to apply concealer is after the foundation...as the concealer wipes off when you apply foundation...then u must must settle it with a light dusting powder....the best concealer for our wheatish/olive indian skin...is LAURA MERCIER SECRET CAMOUFLAGE..SC6....little steep but excellent consistency and lasts forever and ever...

If you rub concealor into

If you rub concealor into your skin, its gonna look streaky.U gotta use multiple tapping motions. And using concealor after ensures that you do not have a reverse racoon-eye thing going on.

before hon..but it depends

before hon..but it depends some people feel it's better to put on foundation before because it hides the imperfections, and therefore u apply less concealer..but i believe it looks weird, so i apply concealer first, foundation next, then pressed powder.

How do you 'blend' without

How do you 'blend' without 'Rubbing'? I use Mac spf 35 concealer. If i just tap it on my blemishes after foundation you can see blotches of concealer on my face under bright light, even if i apply powder. I've also noticed patches of concealer on friends do the same. I tried applying concealer before foundation & It doesn't look blotchy that way. Also applying it b4 ensures that i use less foundation and the foundation helps blend the concealer!

Concealor means just

Concealor means just that.... conceal. So logically you would put on your foundation and then use the concealor over ares that need extra coverage, eg.under eye circles, acne marks etc.
The key to concealor application is to tap it onto the required areas(never rub concealor into the skin) and blend till it is seamless.

I used to think that too

I used to think that too Deleena, but a couple of weeks ago I got my makeup done by a MAC makeup artist and she said that she finds it easier to put it on after the foundation. That way you can see exactly what areas need more covering up and so where you need the concealer.

i apply before ...,, maybe

i apply before ...,, maybe if u apply later , you can smooth it out with a pressed powder and see no difference

Always before! Then

Always before! Then foundation then sweep with loose powder. Maybe make up artists know how to go about using concealer after. But I dont know how Id do it. Concealer is full-on solid colour so Im not sure I can handle that on top of my foundation.
