Sridevi who sprung back into action with her comeback movie English Vinglish last September, has not looked back since. After receiving accolades for her performance in the movie, Sri has now landed another feather in her cap.
Well, who would've thought these things happen. Apparently actress Nagma was promised by the organisers of the Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) that she would be lauded for her ‘contribution to Indian cinema’ . Apparently, they decided to bestow the honour on Sharmila Tagore at the last moment.
India's 3rd highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan, will be presented to the late Rajesh Khanna posthumously and Sharmila Tagore. Rajesh Khanna passed away in July last year and is widely regarded as the first or original superstar of Indian cinema with a record of 15 consecutive hit films in his career which remains unbroken to this day. Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore starred in several hit films: Amar Prem, Aradhana and Daag: A Poem Of Love are a few such films that come to mind.
