Randhir Raj Kapoor or Randhir Kapoor is an Indian actor, producer and director. He comes from the famous Kapoor family and is the son of filmmaker Raj Kapoor. His grandfather is none other than the legendary Prithviraj Kapoor. He had two brothers, late actor Rajiv Kapoor and late actor Rishi Kapoor and sisters Rima and Ritu. Randhir Kapoor was born on 15th February, 1947, in Bombay now known as Mumbai. Other than that, actors Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor are his cousins and his nephews are actors Ranbir Kapoor, Aadar Jain and Armaan Jain. Randhir made his acting debut as a child artist in the film Shree 420 and later in Do Ustad. Later, he started working as an assistant director with the film Jhuk Gaya Aasman. In the year 1971, he made his acting and directorial debut with the film Kal Aaj Aur Kal featuring his wife, father and grandfather. After his debut film, he gave three consecutive hits, Jeet, Raampur Ka Lakshman and Jawani Diwani. These films are counted as some of the biggest hits of his career. Later, he featured in films like Rickshawala, Haath Ki Safai, Lafange, Dharam Karam, Ginny Aur Johnny, Mazdoor Zindabaad, Heeralal Pannalal, Pukar, Ram Teri Ganga Maili and many more. Randhir Kapoor also made his debut as a producer with the 1991 film, Heena. Talking about his personal life, Randhir Kapoor got married to actress Babita, who is the daughter of actor Hari Shivdasani in 1971 at the age of 24. They have two daughters, actresses Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. However, the two separated and Babita left Randhir's house with her daughters.
