Indian actress Vidya Malavade was born on 2nd March, 1973, in Maharashtra. She started her career as an air hostess and began modelling very soon. Later, she made her acting debut with the 2003 film, Inteha. After working on some films and advertisements, Vidya Malavade finally got a breakthrough in the year 2007 with the film Chak De! India where she was seen in the role of the captain of the Indian women's national hockey team. Over the next years, she did films like Benaam (2008), Kidnap (2008), Tum Milo To Sahi (2010), No Problem (2010), Dus Tola (2010), 1920: Evil Returns (2012), Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Dobaara! (2013), and so on. She has also acted in a Bengali film titled Yaara Silly Silly (2015). Vidya was also a part of television shows like Mirchi Top 20, Family No. 1, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, The Family, etc. She also made her debut on OTT platforms and was seen in series such as Mismatched and Bamini and Boys. Talking about her personal life, she got married to Captain Arvind Singh Bagga in the year 1997. However, her husband died in a plane accident when his flight collided with a building in Patna. Later in 2009, she got married to screenwriter, Sanjay Dayma, who worked with Ashutosh Gowariker on the Oscar-nominated Lagaan as the film's Screenplay Writer & Associate Director.
