2.0 Box Office Collection Day 1: This is how much Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer has earned in overseas

2.0 released at the Box office yesterday and fans can’t keep calm. The film starring South superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar has been one of the much-awaited films of the year. Fans of Rajinikanth simply cannot contain their excitement and were seen celebrating the release of the film like a festival. Rajinikanth is indeed the God of the Indian Cinema and fans of the superstar are leaving no stone unturned to shower their love on him. 2.0 managed to break a few records even before the release in the advance booking, and now, the film is setting the box office on fire.
As per an early estimate, for the Hindi version, 2.0 has earned around Rs 25 crores. The final numbers are expected to be bigger. The movie registered an occupancy of over 90 per cent in South and around 35 per cent in Hindi belt. 2.0 is dominating the overseas market as well. The film's advance booking was started around a week before in the overseas markets and this has only helped the sci-fi film to put big numbers on day one at the box office. As per the initial numbers, 2.0 has earned around Rs 59 lakhs ($83,720) from 35 screens in Australia, $282,967 from 258 screens in the US till 9 PM EST and Rs 11.11 lakhs ($15,920) in New Zealand from 18 screens, as per film critic and trade analyst Ramesh Bala.

2.0 has been released in about 10,500 screens across the world and is going to witness earth-shattering success. In the film, Rajinikanth plays a scientist and a robot. 2.0 is the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster Enthiran (Robot) which also featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. 2.0 marks Akshay Kumar’s Tamil debut and it also stars Amy Jackson.
