2.0 Box Office Day 1: Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer gets second highest opening ever

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar together have created havoc at the Box Office with the release of their film, 2.0. Directed by Shankar, 2.0 is receiving tremendous response all over the country and this has resulted in amazing business on day one at the ticket windows. The advance booking of the sci-fi film had already set records. This Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer has released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages and also marks Tamil debut of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.
The Hindi version of the film has managed to earn Rs 20 crore approx which is good considering it is non-holiday Thursday release. 2.0 has done an overall business of Rs 64 crore net approx (GROSS business Rs 80 crore) and with this, it becomes the second highest film of all the time. The film also starring Amy Jackson gets second highest opening ever after Baahubali 2. Baahubali 2 still stands at the number one position with an opening of Rs 150 crore approx. Both South films become the top highest openers across India. Meanwhile, 2.0 has also smashed the record of Thalapathy Vijay's recently released film Sarkar (Rs 2.37 crore) by earning Rs 2.64 crore on its first day at the Chennai Box Office.
Shankar Shanmugham directorial is ruling the Box Office like a boss and had witnessed 70 to 80 per cent occupancy on its first day itself. 2.0 has been released in about 10,500 screens across the world and is going to witness earth-shattering success over the weekend. It has beaten Baahubali 2 record in terms of screen count.
