2.0 Box Office: Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar starrer earns Rs 600 crore worldwide, beats Padmaavat and Sanju
Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer has crossed Rs 600 crore at the worldwide box office and with this, it becomes highest grossing Indian film of the year.
Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 released in various languages on November 29. The sci-fi film is setting huge records with each passing day even after two weeks of its release. The Hindi version of the film has surpassed Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian Box Office in just three days, which is insane. 2.0 also starring Amy Jackson is unstoppable and has set a new record yet again. The film has crossed Rs 600 crore at the worldwide box office and with this, it becomes highest grossing Indian film of the year.
According to reports, Shankar directorial has beaten Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer 'Padmaavat' and Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Sanju'. Sanjay Dutt biopic has earned Rs 586 crore worldwide, while Padmaavat had made Rs 585 crore at global box office. Now, it remains to see how many more records the film will break in the coming days. The biggest and costliest film is surely heading to break many more records until Shah Rukh Khan's Zero and Kannada film KGF starring Yash releases at the box office on December 21. Meanwhile, the Hindi version of 2.0 has witnessed a drop of 30% on its second Tuesday. The film earned Rs 3 crore thus taking its total business to Rs 170 crore approx.
Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer is all set to release on 56,000 screens (including 47,000 3D screens) in China in May 2019. A statement from Lyca Productions read, “Lyca Productions Pvt.
