John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Shruti Haasan's 'Welcome Back' is off to a great start and the film has earned Rs. 14.35 crores on its opening day. With this, the movie has also become the second highest opener of 2015, after 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'.

According to Box Office India, the film has scored very well across India with South India expectedly being low. Also, the movie lost out on some business due to some technical issues. However, that has been rectified and it would be interesting to see where the film goes today as it has the advantage of a part holiday on account of Janmashtami.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted on his twitter page, "#WelcomeBack has an EXCELLENT Day 1... Fri ₹ 14.35 cr. India biz... Biz should MULTIPLY further over the weekend. SUPER!"

Directed by Anees Bazmi and produced by Eros International, 'Welcome Back' released on September 4, 2015.
