Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's 'Shaandaar', which opened to Rs. 13 crores on Day 1, got severely affected by the negative word of mouth and not so good critics reviews on its second day.

The film earned a mere Rs. 7 crores nett, taking the two days total to Rs. 18. 75 crores, confirms a report in Box Office India. The film witnessed a drop of a whopping 40% average with Delhi city grossing only Rs. 75 lakhs on day 2 as compared to Rs. 1.70 crore nett on day one. East Punjab on the other hand was no better as it collected Rs. 62 lakhs nett in comparison to Rs. 1.42 crore nett on day one.

With 'Shaandaar' failing to live up to people's expectations, 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2' got a solid hold on day eight with business in the range of Rs. 2-2.25 crore nett. PKP 2 has grossed 37 crore nett plus so far and it will easily cross the 50 crore nett mark. The weekend should go over 8 crore nett and it could even be flirting with 50 crore nett at the end of week two if the weekend shows more than expected growth.
