Dilwale PLUS Bajirao Mastani total is LESS than Bajrangi Bhaijaan
While the Box Office battle between Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale is going strong in the week 1, here is another piece of trade news that will excite the readers. According to the trade reports, the combined business of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani in the first week is lesser than that of Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan. This is not great news given that the budgets of both these films was higher than that of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Though both Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani weren't holiday releases, but the two week run with a Christmas weekend included has given the films more screen and this cancels out the Holiday factor that Bajrangi Bhaijaan enjoyed during its release.
The combined business of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani is around INR 181 crore nett while Bajrangi Bhaijaan was INR 183.50 crore nett. PK last year in the same week managed INR 181 crore nett though had the Christmas Day holiday in the last day of its first week.
