Box Office Report: Low Collections for Wazir on Day 1

Bejoy Nambiar's Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, Aditi Rao Hydari and Neil Nitin Mukesh starrer Wazir has received a low opening of INR 5.25 crores on its first day. Though the collections are in the similar range as that of Piku, the evening jump in the shows cannot be compared.

The movie scored well in Mumbai and Pune circuit with the former contributing almost INR 1.75 crores nett. The other contributors were Delhi / UP at INR 1.20 crores, East Punjab with INR 64 lakhs and Mysore with INR 30 lakhs. All other circuits were less than INR 25 lakhs nett.

The film has high chances of growing on Saturday and it would be interesting to see how well the film does, which in turn will determine its Sunday figures and the opening weekend in general.
