Box-Office Report: Rocky Handsome has a Fair Opening On Day 1
John Abraham starrer Rocky Handsome released today, and the film had a fair opening of around 25-30% with collections of INR 1.50 crores from the paid previews and INR 5.50 crores on day 1.
The opening morning collections of the film were the second best of the year after Airlift. However, the film has benefitted from the holiday for Good Friday. Analysts suggest that for a holiday, the numbers were not upto par. The film has to pull through very well at the end to set a good total. Experts suggest that the film is unlikely to have more growth on the second day as the first day being a holiday, saw a high opening. Also, there is a big match on Sunday which will affect the collections of the film again. Well, the coming days will give a clearer picture of how the film has fared.
The film also stars Shruti Hassan and Diya Chalwad in key roles. It is helmed by Nishikant Kamat who also plays the villain in the film.
