Box Office Report: ADHM records double occupancy against Shivaay in morning shows!
After stirring up a huge debate amongst the movie lovers, this year's Diwali releases Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay have finally hit the theatres. While both the films have received mixed responses from the critics, the box office report has a different story to tell.
The initial figures suggest that Karan Johar's film has taken a lead over Ajay Devgn's Shivaay. ADHM has opened to around 35-40% occupancy in morning shows with many high end multiplexes managing to go beyond 50%. The anti-Pakistan wave hasn't affected the film too. The North India and Gujarat sectors have performed fine.
On the other hand, Shivaay has recorded low opening with around 25% occupancy. The movie hasn't picked up pace at single screens despite being an action film. While the film has done well in smaller centers, in the main centers it has failed to pick up and hence overall, ADHM is leading.
Below are the admit figures of some of the centers across the country: (source: Box Office India)
