In a short span of 5 days, Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has managed to enter the profit zone. The film collected INR 13.03 crores on Tuesday and now stands at INR 66.38 crores. The business has now already taken it past the break-even mark as the economics of the film had been worked out quite well.

According to the official spokesperson of Fox Star India, the cost of production (inclusive of marketing and distribution) is INR 100 crores. Revenue recovered (from music, satellite and digital) is INR 75 crores.

Now going by these numbers, recovery to be made from theatrical revenue (domestic) is INR 25 crores and the nett revenue needed from theatrical (domestic) is INR 50 crores.

Given that the film has already crossed the INR 66 crore mark quite comfortably in India, the teams at Dharma and Fox Star Studios can rejoice. The international collections are profits for the studios. Currently, the international collection stands at 7 million dollars (IINR 47 crores).

This is Ranbir Kapoor's first hit after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Anushka Sharma continues her dream run at the box office.

Going by the current trend, ADHM will soon cross the 100 crore figure with producers set to make a profit of around INR 40 crores.
