This Friday, two films locked horns at the box-office - John Abraham-Sonakshi Sinha-Tahir Raj Bhasin starrer Force 2 and Neha Sharma-Aditya Seal-Aashim Gulati's Tum Bin 2. Both the films opened to an ordinary start at the box-office. While Force 2 had an average opening at the box office at around 15-20%, Tum Bin 2 was ever lower at 8-10%.

Both films are sequel series films to Force (2011) and Tum Bin (2001) and neither of these films really got major footfalls. As for the demonetization issue, it is less this week in comparison to the last week but this is only in multiplexes of metros and few others, which are probably now only being affected by 10-15%.

But the problem for Force 2 is that it's an action mass film and business in smaller centers is still hit by 40-50%. So for John-Sonakshi starrer the effect is as much as Rock On 2 had to bear last week or maybe more. Obviously, if the metros and other big A centers can pick up, then the film can do something at the box office.

As for Tum Bin 2, it is also depending on word of mouth though its plus is that it's a low-cost film and the revenue from satellite, music and digital will someway recover its cost. However, the film will need a good jump on Saturday, to survive in the BO battle.

The upcoming weekend numbers will decide, how both the films will fare at the ticket-window.
