Box Office Report: Aamir's Dangal set to create history on day 3!
If the initial buzz is to be believed, then it wouldn't be wrong to say that Aamir Khan's Dangal is all set to create history on its day 3. As per trade pundits, the film might have crossed the coveted INR 40 crore mark, making it the first film to have the highest single day collections, the record which is currently held by Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo with INR 39.32 crore.
The Nitesh Tiwari directed affair is winning applause from critics and audience alike and people cannot stop raving about the movie which also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Aparshakti Khurrana and Sakshi Tanwar in the lead.
If Dangal manages to cross the INR 40 crore benchmark then it will join films like Ek Tha Tiger - first to earn 30 crore nett day, Bodyguard - first to earn 20 crore nett day, Ghajini - first to earn 10 crore nett day, Krrish - first to earn 5 crore nett day, Fanaa - first to 4 crore nett day, Veer Zaara - first to 3 crore nett day, Kabhi Khushi Gham - first to 2 crore nett day and Trimurti - first to 1 crore nett day.
And given that Trimurti released on Christmas in the year 1995, it will mean that Bollywood took exactly 21 years to move from INR 1 crore mark to INR 40 crore nett for the box office collections in a day.
Now, that will indeed be a massive record!
