Box Office Report: Badrinath Ki Dulhania inches closer to the 100-crore-mark
Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's Badrinath Ki Dulhania is all set to cross the 100-crore-mark at the box office.
Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's Badrinath Ki Dulhania is continuing its dream run at the box office. The movie which released two weeks back, is performing well at the ticked window and has maintained steady collections in terms of the box office numbers.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania earned INR 2.50 crore on Monday, taking the two week total to INR 91 crore. According to a popular trade site, the film is one of the best performing movies of 2017 with it making INR 25 crore in its second week, a feet that has been achieved barely by 30 odd films in the past. The movie will soon cross the coveted INR 100-crore-mark.
The Shashank Khaitan directed affair has collected more in mass belts section of the country that includes Uttar Pradesh, CI or Rajasthan. Going by its current trend, the movie is sure to beat the figures of Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB 2 and might even surpass the number of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the second film in the Dulhania franchise to make a mark at the box office. The first film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania also performed well at the ticket window. The movie was directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Reports of the makers planning a third part in the Dulhania franchise have already made its way.
Both Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt also celebrated the success of the film by throwing a party for their near and dear ones. The party was organized by Varun and many Bollywood celebs like Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur and Varun's girlfriend Natasha Dalal among others.
