Box Office Report: Prabhas' Baahubali 2 beats Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo collections on Day 1
Baahubali 2 crosses INR 100 crore on Day 1 in all languages.
Director S.S. Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion opened to insane figures on day one. According to the initial reports, the movie enjoyed a whopping 95% occupancy in the morning shows with some places recording 100% occupancy.
Now, as per the trade reports, the movie has done record business of INR 125 crore on first day of its release. The movie has become the first film in history to cross such a big mark on the first day. These are just the initial figures and the exact numbers are yet to come in and they are likely to be in the higher range.
Interestingly, the Hindi version of Baahuali 2 is expected to collect around INR 40-45 crore on Day 1. This is a massive number, given that the film is a non-holiday release. With these collections, it is sure to beat the collections of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that earned INR 39.32 crore on Day 1.
In Nizam and Andhra Pradesh, the movie is performing phenomenally well whereas Tamil Nadu, which is the weakest region, will also be putting in huge numbers.
