Baazaar and Kaashi Weekend Box Office Collection: Saif Ali Khan's film is at the top
Saif Ali Khan starrer Baazaar won the weekend box office war and stands atop films like Sharman Joshi's Kaashi: In Search of Ganga and Rajkummar Rao and Nargis Fakhri's 5 Weddings.
Saif Ali Khan starrer Baazaar sees the actor play the villainous businessman Shakun Kothari as well as the idol of Rizvan Ahmed (played by late veteran actor Vinod Mehra's son Rohan Mehra). Along with Saif and Rohan, Baazaar also stars Radhika Apte and Chitrangda Singh and delves into the fast-paced stock market life in Mumbai. Baazaar released last Friday alongside Sharman Joshi's suspense thriller Kaashi: In Search of Ganga and Rajkummar Rao and Nargis Fakhri's romantic comedy 5 Weddings.
When it comes to the Sunday box office collection of Baazaar, according to Box Office India, Saif's movie earned Rs 4.25 crore nett, which brings the weekend collection's total to Rs 10.75 crore apprx (Friday - Rs 2.75 crore, Saturday - Rs 3.75 crore, Monday - Rs 4.25 crore). While the numbers aren't exactly big; in comparison to the other films released on the same day, Baazaar has won the race by large numbers. On the other hand, Sharman's film Kaashi: In Search of Ganga was only able to collect Rs 25 lakhs nett on Sunday which brings the weekend box office total collection to just Rs 70 lakh apprx (Friday - Rs 20 lakhs apprx, Saturday - Rs 25 lakhs apprx, Sunday - Rs 25 lakhs apprx).
