Baazaar Box Office Collection Day 2: Saif Ali Khan's film shows limited growth
Saif Ali Khan starrer Baazaar showed limited growth of 35 percent on Day 2 i.e. Saturday. Baazaar also stars debutant Rohan Mehra, Radhika Apte and Chitrangda Singh while the film is directed by Gauravv K Chawla.
Saif Ali Khan plays the villainous Gujarati businessman Shakun Kothari in his latest outing Baazaar. Baazaar, which is directed by Gauravv K Chawla and written by Kal Ho Naa Ho director Nikkhil Advani, Parveez Sheikh and Aseem Arora also marks the Bollywood debut of late veteran actor Vinod Mehra's son Rohan Mehra. The stock market-themed movie also stars Radhika Apte and Chitrangda in pivotal roles as the love interests of Rohan and Saif, respectively. Baazaar released on October 26, 2018.
The opening day collections of Baazaar were poor as the film only collected Rs 2.75 crore nett at the box office. However, on Day 2 i.e. Saturday, the box office collections showed a decent growth, According to Box Office India, Saif's movie collected Rs 3.75 crore nett, which is 35 percent growth. The total collections of Baazaar now stand at Rs 6.50 crore nett (Friday - Rs 2.75 crore apprx, Saturday - Rs 3.75 crore apprx). According to production house figures, the film earned Rs 4.10 crores with the total standing at Rs 7.17 crore (NBOC).
In comparisons to movies like Sharman Joshi starrer Kaashi: In Search of Ganga and 5 Weddings starring Rajkummar Rao and Nargis Fakhri, which clashed with the film, Baazaar is miles ahead of them all. Kaashi's total 2-day collection stands at Rs 45 lakhs apprx.
