Coming to the box office collection prediction for Badla, Trade Analyst, Girish Johar informed Pinkvilla, “Badla has a very good cast of Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. The trailer has generated a lot of intrigue among the audiences and it is backed by Sujoy Ghosh and the biggest star Shah Rukh Khan is producing it. So the expectations, as well as the excitement among the public, is quite high for the film.” Coming to the box office prediction for Day 1, Girish has predicted that the film will mint Rs 3 crores on its opening day. “The promotions and the trailers look appealing. The target audience is very high in top-end cities as well as multiplexes. Once the film releases, it relies heavily on the word of mouth because of the film's genre. I peg the opening day box office collection to be at Rs 3.50-4 crores to start with. If the word of mouth is good, box office collection can increase in the later shows on Day 1. And if it is not appreciated then it can go down from that.”
