Bala Box Office Collection Day 1: Ayushmann Khurrana beats his own highest opening day record

Every Friday, film lovers get to see a new film hit the screens. This Friday, Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam starrer Bala released and hit the screens. After many changes in the release date, Bala finally hit the screens and is off to a good start. Delving into the depths of the insecurities of a man with a premature balding issue, Bala stars Ayushmann in the lead. In the film, in his mid-twenties, Ayushmann ends up losing his hair and that leads him to try different ways to get his mane back.
The premise and plot of the film is quite relatable and hence, the audience was looking forward it to. Coming to the box office collection of opening day, Ayushmann’s film beat his last film Dream Girl’s day 1’s record and went on to be his highest first-day figures. As per Box Office India, Bala earned Rs 9.50-9.75 Crore at the ticket windows. The figure is slightly more than Ayushmann’s last film Dream Girl’s opening day numbers and hence is his highest till date.
The film did good business in various regions including those of UP, Mumbai and Rajasthan. Bala had been the talk of the town due to the controversies associated with another film, Ujda Chaman that deals with the same premise. However, that was released last week and Bala hit the screens this Friday. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Bala’s music has been topping the charts and songs like Don’t Be Shy, Naah Goriye and more have been loved by the audiences. Bala also has been getting rave reviews.
