Bala Box Office Collection Day 3: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer has a solid weekend & rakes in THIS hefty amount

For Ayushmann Khurrana, picking the right script is one of the major keys to the success of his films. Speaking of this, Ayushmann, Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Bala released this Friday and managed to showcase a unique yet relatable tale of a man suffering from premature balding. Ayushmann as Balmukund Shukla manages to catch your attention from the word go and the film is receiving rave reviews from critics, celebs and audience. When it comes to the box office, Ayushmann is competing with the records of his previous release, Dream Girl.
Coming to Bala’s box office collection, Ayushmann starrer was off to a good start on Friday which also went on over the weekend. As the word of mouth spread, Bala got the benefit of the same. Coming to the weekend collection, Ayushmann’s Bala raked in Rs 17.50 Crore on Sunday as opposed to Rs 15 Crore on Saturday. This made Bala Box Office collection of the weekend come up to Rs 42 Crore nett. The film did well in metros but fell a little short of beating Dream Girl’s first weekend record.
It will be interesting to see how Ayushmann, Yami and Bhumi starrer performs at the ticket windows as the week goes on. Directed by maker of Stree, Amar Kaushik, Bala also stars Abhishek Banerjee, Jaaved Jaferi and more. The film is set in Uttar Pradesh and also tackles India’s obsession with fair-skinned girls. Produced by Maddock Films, Bala’s music is doing well and songs like Don’t Be Shy, Naah Goriye and Pyaar toh Tha are doing well across musical platforms.
