John Abraham starrer nationalistic action cop drama Batla House hit the screens about two weeks ago. The actor has already shown his commendable performance films like RAW (Romeo Akbar Walter) and Satyamev Jayate in the past. Batla House aims to project the truth behind the 2008 encounter with alleged terrorists that took place at Batla House in Jamia Nagar in Delhi. Recently, the makers gave a sneak peek to the audience at the making of Batla House. The film had a box office clash with the Akshay Kumar starrer space film Mission Mangal.

According to Box Office India, Batla House stood steady on Monday by collecting Rs 2 crore nett approximately. The film dropped less on Monday compared to Mission Mangal as the increase for Janmashtami on Friday was also less. Batla House aiming for a second week around Rs 24 crore nett. The total collections of the film stand on more than Rs 77 crore nett now.

The film will easily surpass the business of John's Satyameva Jayate by the end of the week which is good for the film. It will be the highest grossing solo John Abraham starrer and is expected to end with Rs 90 crore nett total. There will be a huge reduction of screenings and an increase in competition as Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor's Saaho will release and Mission Mangal will be first choice for the audience.
