Batla House Box Office Collection Day 3: John Abraham's high action drama records good growth on 1st Saturday
The action drama flick which released on Independence Day has been performing decently at the domestic box office. Read on to know how much it collected on day three.
John Abraham starrer Batla House has completed three days at the box office and the film recorded decent numbers so far. The action drama flick which released on Independence Day is based on the the real life story of DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who headed the Batla House encounter, that took place in New Delhi's Jamia Nagar in 2008. According to a report in Box Office India, Batla House had performed better than expected on its first day.
On day 3, i.e. Saturday, Batla House collected Rs 9.50 crore nett. With this, the film's total collection now stands at Rs 31.50 crore nett. The film showed growth of around 30 per cent on Saturday which is good since the film is facing a stiff competition from Mission Mangal which has raked in double the amount in three days.
The three day business of Batla House is a little short of Satyameva Jayate's three-day collection of Rs 35 crore nett last year. The business of Batla House in Maharashtra and Nizam/Andhra is less than Satyameva Jayate but in Mumbai city, Pune, Delhi and Bangalore the numbers are on par or more.
Given's Saturday good growth, Batla House may continue a similar run on Sunday and its first weekend will be an important one. The Monday number is crucial for this film and looking at the trend at multiplexes there is a chance that the film may have a good hold and can benefit with a clean run till end of August.
