Bharat Box Office Collection Day 7: Salman Khan starrer witnesses a drop; Mints THIS amount
Bharat has completed one week at the box office. The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer has already registered a place in the Rs 100-crore club.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif ventured out this Eid with Bharat. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial released on the same day as the Indian cricket team stepped on the field to play against South Africa. Despite competition from the World Cup, the movie opened to a phenomenal Rs 41.75 crores. While it has opened with a jaw-dropping collection, the Eid 2019 release seems to have slowed down its pace as it completes its first week. The movie has reportedly witnessed a noticeable drop by the end of its first Tuesday at the box office.
As per a Box Office India report, Bharat has collected Rs 7.75 crore by the end of its first week and first Tuesday at the box office. The trade outlet notes, "The falls are not huge but they are a little more than the normal trend." However, the outlet notes that despite the fall, the movie has recorded a good opening week collection. The site also notes that the movie is doing good business at multiplexes but it fails to hit the mark at smaller centres and single screens. "The numbers are big enough but they should have been higher. The ratio of business coming from the smaller centers is lower than it should be," the site reports.
Despite the drop, Bharat has collected Rs 161 crores nett with the end of Week 1. All eyes are on the movie to see if the movie will withstand the coming few days. The movie's box office collection could be affected by India's match against New Zealand on Thursday. Bharat will also be put to test on Sunday as India meets Pakistan on the field this Sunday.
