Talented hero Vicky Kaushal's historical epic, Chhaava, continues its dominant run at the Indian box office. Helmed by Laxman Utekar, known for his nuanced storytelling in films like Mimi and Luka Chuppi, Chhaava brings to life the valorous tale of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. His meticulous attention to historical detail, combined with terrific performances from the star cast, the film is creating a storm at the Hindi box office.

Going by the current box office trend and advance bookings, Chhaava eyes an impressive ₹90 crore-plus collection for its second weekend. This projection includes anticipated earnings of ₹23 crore nett on Friday, ₹33 crore on Saturday, and ₹37 crore on Sunday from the box office. Such robust figures highlight the film's widespread appeal and strong word-of-mouth traction.

In Maharashtra, Chhaava has struck a chord, with audiences appreciating the authentic representation of their Maratha revered warrior. Overall, the film's stand on how Sambhaji protected Sanathana Dharma has echoed well with movie lovers.  Within its first week, Chhaava amassed a staggering ₹200 crore net in India, and the final figures might touch ₹400+ crores easily as per the trade pundits.

However, the re-release of sad-love story Sanam Teri Kasam has introduced some competition, particularly in the metropolitan areas. The romantic drama, featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, has garnered attention from youths, clocking a notable ₹33+ crore collection over its two-week re-release period. Despite this, Chhaava's momentum remains largely unchecked. The film is on track to cross the ₹250 crore threshold by the end of its second weekend, while it might join the mighty ₹400 or ₹500 crore club as per projections.

As far as Chhaava's success is concerned, Vicky Kaushal's compelling portrayal of the Maratha warrior king, capturing his invincible spirit and leadership proved to be a cornerstone in the film's success. Akshaye Khanna who played Aurangazeb is the second-best attention grabber inside Chhaava theatres. The theatrical experience of Chhaava is elevated by the legendary A.R. Rahman, whose compositions have taken each scene to the next level.

In summary, Chhaava's blend of compelling storytelling, stellar performances, and historical connections continues to captivate audiences nationwide, solidifying its status as a big success in 2025 for Bollywood which is actually waiting for the right flick to keep the ticket windows running.
