Box Office Collection Day 3: Panipat starrer witnesses slow growth; Pati Patni Aur Woh continues its good run

This Friday, Kartik, Ananya and Bhumi starrer Pati Patni Aur Woh and Arjun and Kriti starer Panipat locked horns at the box office. As per Box Office India, Panipat has been witnessing slow growth while Pati Patni Aur Woh is doing good at the ticket windows. Speaking of the day 3 collection of both the movies, Pati Patni Aur Woh collected Rs 13.5-14 crore nett bringing the total to Rs 33.5-34 crore nett. The growth was around 20%. The report also stated how if the film holds well today then it may emerge as a hit. For the unversed, the movie collected Rs 8.5-9 crore on day 1 and on day 2 it received Rs 11.50 on day 2.
Coming to Panipat, the movie garnered Rs 7.5 to 8 crore on Sunday and now the total stands at 17.5- 18 crore. According to the BOI report, the weekend numbers are lesser than recently released comic caper Pagalpanti. For the unversed, the day 2 collection of the movie was Rs. 6 crore nett. It saw a poor opening with collections of Rs 3.5-4 crore. The day one collection was lower than Marjaavaan and Commando 3's opening day collection.

Speaking of the movies, Panipat is directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar and is based on the Third Battle of Panipat. Aside from Kriti and Arjun, the movie also stars Sanjay Dutt, Mohnish Bahl, Padmini Kolhapure and Zeenat Aman among others. On the other hand, Pati Patni Aur Woh is directed by Mudassar Aziz.
