When it comes to the box office in India, the first quarter of 2018 saw 5 successful Hindi films and 1 Hollywood movie namely Padmaavat, Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety, Raid, Hichki, Baaghi 2 and Black Panther.

Keeping up with the same pace, the 2nd quarter of the year has too started on a great note with 3 successful Hindi films already with October, 102 Not Out and Raazi and the Hollywood record holder Avengers: Infinity War.

Like we said at the start of the year, we need to have on an average, 2 successful Hindi films every month to have 24 successful films in a year which would make the box office, exhibitors and distributors extremely happy. Now with 8 films working in the first 5 months already, we are very much headed in that path.

Raid closed its super fantastic run with Rs 97 crore, Hichki has almost reached Rs 47 crore and Baaghi 2 has crossed Rs 158 crore, October took a decent start and was loved by its audiences which took it to over Rs 40 crore at the box office which was more than it needed for the tightly budgeted film, 102 not out has already crossed Rs 37 crore in 10 days and is headed towards Rs 50 crore or more in the next few weeks, and Raazi has opened with a bang collecting Rs 32.75 crore in its first three days and now is headed towards Rs 50+ crore in its first week and maybe Rs 85-90 crore in its total run.

All these three films have budgets at around Rs 25-28 crore which is very small in terms of the collections, hence the super success of all. Add to this, the mammoth Hollywood film Avengers: Infinity War which had crossed Rs 209 crore and is headed towards Rs 225 crore or more, which breaks The Jungle Book record of Rs 187 crore.

So far this year has been a great one indeed, and with next week's Deadpool 2 and Parmanu, Solo: A Star Wars Story and Bhavesh Joshi coming in the following weeks, we definitely can have a few more hits before the month is over.
