Aiyaary, a big budget film from a super successful director Neeraj Pandey, who has given 4 Hit films in a row as a director and has produced 2 other big hits, is a big let down at the box office. The film is budgeted at Rs 40+ crore excluding marketing and print costs, and just barely managed to collect approx Rs 12 crore on its opening weekend.

This is the lowest opening weekend collections for the hero of the film, Siddharth Malhotra as well, who now has given three major solo flops in a row. The film didn’t open well on Friday and with very poor reports, it couldn’t pick up at all on the weekend.Tthe studios (Reliance & Pen Audio) behind the film will lose a large amount of their investment in this film.

Black Panther, the Hollywood release had the best weekend of the lot and collected approx Rs 19 crore, which is great for a film that previously had no following to the character in India.

PadMan had a decent 1st week of approx Rs 61 crore, due to the partial mid-week holidays. It slowed down a bit on the 2nd weekend by collecting approx Rs 9 crore and bringing its total to approx Rs 70 crore.

Padmaavat is on a record-breaking spree wherever it was released, with the 4th weekend collecting approx Rs 8.25 crore and bringing the total collections to approx Rs 275 crore, which in actual terms is equal to Rs 365 crore if it had released everywhere, which would make it the 2nd highest collecting Hindi film after Dangal which collected Rs 380 crore.
