Captain Marvel Box Office Collection Day 1: Brie Larson starrer gets the highest Hollywood opening till date

Brie Larson and Samuel L Jackson starrer Captain Marvel saw an excellent day one collection at the box office. As per Box Office India, the opening day collections are Rs 13.50-14 crores and the same is the highest Hollywood opening till now after Avengers: Infinity War. As per BOI, Infinity War which released last year had received Rs 30 crores.

"The opening practically ensures a good first weekend which will probably be next to Avengers - Infinity War. The film has registered better opening day occupancy at multiplexes better than all Hindi films in 2019," BOI report read.

Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Badla has locked horns with Captain Marvel at the BO, and as per BOI, the movie collected Rs 5 crores on the day one."The film hardly looked 4 crore nett in the morning but that was as it had nothing for the youth but the evening crowd did come for the film in the metros", the report read.

Both the movies can pick up during the weekend and Monday BO report will help us to get a clearer picture on which movie is winning the BO. Apparently,the last film of Amitabh Bachchan as main lead was 102 Not Out and the same collected under 3.50 crore nett on day so this film has fared better than his last movie.
