De De Pyaar De Box Office Collection Day 1: Ajay Devgn, Tabu & Rakul Preet's film mints THIS amount
Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer De De Pyaar De has finally hit the screens and the film earned around 10.41 crore nett on Day 1.
Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu starrer De De Pyaar De hit the screens on May 17, 2019, and the audiences have been enjoying this romantic comedy film. Talking about the film, De De Pyaar De revolves around the story of a 50-year-old single father Ajay Devgn, who falls in love with the 26-year-old Rakul Preet and his family including his ex-wife, Tabu, do not approve of their relationship.
Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, shared the numbers on his social media handle by tweeting, “#DeDePyaarDe picked up towards evening after a dull start... Occupancy was higher in evening/night shows... Strong reports should ensure a turnaround on Day 2 and 3... Fri 10.41 cr [incl Thu previews]. India biz. #DDPD.” According to a report in Box Office India, there will be a jump on weekend and although the quirky romantic comedy, which released in over 3100 screens across the country, was off to a dull start but witnessed higher footfall in the evening and night shows. Another factor that hampered the box office collection is that De De Pyaar De was leaked online by the infamous piracy website TamilRockers.
Even though Punit Malhotra’s Student of the Year 2 starring Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria is running in theatres, De De Pyaar De has performed decently at the box office, and reports suggest that the film should pick up on weekends.
