Hobbs & Shaw Box Office Collections Day 5: Dwayne Johnson starrer is not so 'Fast & Furious' in India
Hobbs & Shaw released over the weekend and struggles to keep the pace going in India. The movie opened on a good note but couldn't sustain a good run at the box office.
Hobbs & Shaw has not impressed the Fast & Furious fans in India. After a terrific first day collection, the Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham and Idris Elba put up a decent first weekend. However, the movie struggles to put up a good show during the weekday. After we reported that the Fast & Furious spin-off witnessed as high as 55 percent drop on Monday, Day 4, it has now been revealed that Hobbs & Shaw recorded another dip on Tuesday, Day 5.
According to Box Office India, the Tuesday collections witnessed about 15 percent drop after the fall in the collection over the dip it witnessed on Monday. The film recorded a box office collection of Rs 4.25 crore nett on Tuesday. The pushed Hobbs & Shaw's India box office collections to Rs 46.25 crore nett.
"The film has not found appreciation and is likely to struggle post the first week and it will be a shortened second week and its run will almost come to an end when Batla House and Mission Mangal release. The film will fall well short of the last two films of the franchise," the site notes.
Meanwhile, the makers are planning on making the sequel to the spin-off. Rumour has it that Keanu Reeves is being considered for the role of the new villain in the spin-off. Buzz is also that Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds, who featured in the movie in a cameo role, could also be seen in the movie.
