Housefull 4 Box Office Collection Day 10: Akshay Kumar’s film to surpass Mission Mangal lifetime collection?
Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 4 is continuing its dream run at the box office. The movie, which opened to rave reviews, is likely to surpass the lifetime collection of Mission Mangal and become his highest-grossing film ever.
Akshay Kumar has been one of the most successful and bankable actors in Bollywood. It is quite evident with his success rate at the box office. After all, most of his releases lately have turned out to be a box office hit. And after giving to big hits this year with Kesari and Mission Mangal, his recent release Housefull 4 is also enjoying a dream run at the box office. Helmed by Farhad Samji, the movie has taken the box office by a storm within ten days of its release and doesn’t intend to slow down anytime soon.
Interestingly, Housefull 4, which had crossed Rs. 100 crore within five days of release, is now inching towards the prestigious Rs. 200 crore club. According to Box Office India, Housefull 4 is going strong in its second week and made a collection of Rs. 31 crore in the second weekend. While Housefull 4 minted around Rs. 13 crore on Sunday, the collection of the movie has reached a total of Rs. 168.25 crore. To note, only 15 movies in the history of Indian cinema have managed to rake in over Rs. 30 crore in the second weekend.
Given the winning momentum of Housefull 4, the movie is expected to do wonders in the coming days. In fact, it is likely to beat the lifetime collection of Mission Mangal (Rs. 193.14 crore) to become Akshay’s highest grosser so far. It will be interesting to see if Housefull 4 will be able to set new benchmarks for Akshay’s upcoming releases.
Meanwhile, Akshay is gearing up for the release of Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Good Newwz, Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi and Raghava Lawrence directorial Laxmmi Bomb. Besides, he will also be seen in YRF’s upcoming period drama Prithviraj.
