Junglee starring Vidyut Jammwal and Pooja Sawant will hit the theatres tomorrow i.e. March 29, 2019 and the film is based on the story of a veterinary doctor, who upon returning to his father’s elephant reserve, fights against an international poachers racket. Junglee is directed by American writer-filmmaker Chuck Russel and sicne Junglee is clashing at the box office with Notebook, it is being reported that Junglee will face tough competition from Notebook, given Nitin Kakkar’s Notebook is being headlined by Salman Khan and stars Pranutan Bahl and Zagreb Iqbal.
While earlier the film was slated to release in April, however, the makers of Junglee shifted the dates to March since Raw wanted a solo release. When we contacted Film trade and business analyst Girish Johar, he said that the trailer of Junglee was well appreciated and given that the buzz around the film is quite hot, therefore, the film will manage to mint somewhere around Rs 3.50-4 crore on Day 1.
Girish said, “The trailer of Junglee was quite appreciated when it was released. The buzz around the film is quite hot given that international director Chuck Russell will be helming it. It will be a treat not only for families but for kids as well. It looks like an action-adventure-thriller joyride wherein it will be clean entertainment which kids will enjoy out and out,” adding, “I peg the film's first day box office collection to be at Rs 3.50-4 crore. If the movie turns out to be really good then the day one collection through word of mouth may go up to Rs 5 crore or more. However, if it does not impress the audience, the evening shows may see lesser tickets being sold at the box office.”
