Kabir Singh Box Office Collection Day 12: Shahid Kapoor & Kiara’s film faces a drop due to India’s WC match
Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani has been blazing at the box office. The film has managed to beat few records and is inching close to the 200-crore mark despite the slow down due to India’s World Cup match. Read on.
Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh is one of the biggest blockbusters of 2019. The film was released on June 21 and is still going strong despite being in its second week. Kabir Singh is the story of a medical student who falls in love with a girl on day one. Post that, Kabir and Preeti’s love story follows. Kabir played by Shahid later becomes an alcoholic post Preeti’s marriage to someone else. The film has garnered a lot of attention from the youth and is touted to be one of Shahid’s top performances.
Coming to the Box office collection, Shahid and Kiara’s film is inching towards the 200-crore mark. However, on Tuesday, the film faced a little lag due to India Vs Bangladesh World Cup 2019 game. The film managed to rake in Rs 8.25 Crore on Tuesday and has moved a tad bit closer to the 200-crore mark. Kabir Singh’s total Box office Collection till now is a little over Rs 196 Crore and hopefully, Shahid and Kaira’s film will hit the double century on Wednesday.
Kabir Singh’s success has left everyone bewildered. In an interview, Shahid had mentioned that the criticism of the film doesn’t affect him as he has been in the industry for 15-16 years now. The film did face some backlash from people who thought that Kabir Singh showed doctors in a bad light. However, despite all of the buzz, Shahid’s film is going strong at the box office. Despite the release of Article 15, Kabir Singh is still holding the momentum. Helmed by Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Vanga, Kabir Singh is a remake of the Telugu film starring Vijay Deverakonda.
