Kabir Singh Box Office Collection Day 14: Shahid Kapoor & Kiara Advani starrer is the biggest HIT of 2019

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that 2019 started on a good note for Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani as their film Kabir Singh broke a number of records with its performance at the box office. Helmed by Sandeep Vanga, the film is the story of Kabir who is a brilliant medical student and later a doctor who falls in love with Preeti. But, she is married to someone else and Kabir is left devastated. His anger adds a grey shade to his character and he becomes a self-destructive alcoholic.

Kabir Singh managed to have a strong hold at the box office right from the start. With the film off to a great start, Shahid and Kiara’s love story managed to win applause from the audience as well. On Wednesday, Kabir Singh crossed Rs 200 Crore and the team partied last night to celebrate this milestone. However, it didn’t stop there. On Thursday, Kabir Singh managed to rake in Rs 6.50 Crore more which took the total of the second week a little under Rs 210 Crore.

Thus, Shahid and Kiara’s film is the biggest hit of 2019 and is still going strong. Kabir Singh is a remake of a Telugu film, Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda. Even Vijay was all praises for the film post the screening. The film has also managed to rake in the 7th highest box office numbers in the second week after Baahubali 2, Dangal and more. With the release of Article 15, the business of Kabir Singh still kept growing and it is maintaining its hold over the box office. It will be interesting to see how it goes on from here. Kabir Singh’s success has surely left Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani elated. Shahid even shared a thank you note yesterday for his fans.
