Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer has become massively popular among the audience. Despite doing well at the box office, the film got mixed reviews from the critics. Few people even believe that this is Shahid's best performance of his career. The actor plays the role of an alcoholic surgeon in the film, while Kiara plays the role of his love interest.
The box office collections of Kabir Singh were hit by the ICC World Cup match between India and New Zealand on Tuesday as well as on Wednesday. The film bagged slightly more than Rs 3 crore on Wednesday, taking it to the total to Rs 243 crore approx. A 35 crore nett plus in the third week is expected from the film.
Talking about the film, Kabir Singh is a remake of the blockbuster Telugu film Arjun Reddy. The film had released on June 21. Kabir Singh narrates the story of a man who goes into a self-destructive path after his ex marries someone else.
